Start with the finished photo
Decide what the guest should receive: a digital strip, a single portrait, a moving clip or a physical print. That one choice narrows the software search quickly.
ShutterTrax currently focuses on tablet photo capture, custom layouts and cloud delivery on paid plans. If printing or video is essential to the booking, compare working alternatives rather than treating a roadmap item as available.

Separate nice extras from essential steps
Write two short lists. The first contains things that would stop you delivering the event if absent. The second contains optional improvements. Compare the first list before you spend time on effects or decorative templates.
Put hardware requirements on the essential list. A preferred camera brand is not enough information; the model, connection method and tablet matter. Our camera guide explains the difference between HDMI input and direct camera control.
- Frame
Put a group in the finished layout
- Capture
Take the complete photo sequence
- Disconnect
Test a prepared session without Wi-Fi
- Deliver
Reconnect and check the result on a second device
Give every app the same rehearsal
Use the same light, group size and artwork. Ask someone who has not seen the app to start a session. Watch where they hesitate instead of immediately telling them what to do.
Turn off Wi-Fi for a prepared session where the app supports offline capture. Restore it and check what happens to delivery. Rehearsing a failure is often more useful than another perfect test photo.

Compare the cost of the required plan
Use the price of the tier that contains your essential features. Check whether a monthly figure means monthly billing or an annual commitment. Include the extra booth license if you need two events at once.
Start with our side-by-side price and feature comparison, then confirm the vendor checkout before paying. Keep a copy of your successful rehearsal settings so the first live event uses the same setup.
Make your next booth a ShutterTrax booth.
